Bern Galat is the Principal of Spyglass Home Improvement. He first learned about home construction and renovation in his teen years (and practiced hands-on) under the watchful eyes of his father, a general contractor, and his staff of skilled tradesman.  Bern left the family business to complete his education at Northeastern University where he earned a Bachelor of Science and Master’s in Business Administration and then went on to a corporate career.  Bern always kept his skills and knowledge of the building trades sharp by finding, purchasing and renovating residential and commercial properties with the same skill and attention to detail he learned from his dad.  This same care and adherence to exacting standards are the hallmark of Spyglass and we have been doing it for more than 50 years.

Bern is a registered and insured contractor (MA HIC #202393).  He was also formerly a licensed Home Inspector and although he no longer does inspections, he brings that skilled eye for evaluation and assessment to every project he takes on.
